On Thursday, October 30th, Enrichment Services Program, Inc. (ESP) hosted its annual Turning Hope into Reality Luncheon at Columbus State University’s Cunningham Center, welcoming more than 100 attendees to celebrate the power of partnership and community impact. The event brought together local leaders, partners, and supporters in recognition of the families and children served by ESP each year.
The program began with a collective reading of the Promise of Community Action, a meaningful reminder of the shared commitment to help people and change lives. The promise set a unifying tone for the event, grounding guests in the spirit of collaboration and compassion that drives ESP’s work.
Guests were then treated to a heartwarming performance by the children of ESP’s Waverly Terrace Child Development Center, led by Center Manager Brittany Smith and introduced by Zabrina Reed. Their smiles and songs embodied the hope and potential that inspire ESP’s mission every day.

The luncheon highlighted ESP’s mission to empower families to thrive through quality education, services, and partnerships. Guests were able to see the impact firsthand through several inspiring videos featuring stories of hope and transformation from families whose lives have been strengthened through ESP’s programs—including early childhood education, workforce development, and family strengthening services.
ESP’s CEO, Belva Dorsey-Mott, shared a powerful message of gratitude and progress, reflecting on milestones achieved and the importance of community partnerships in helping vulnerable families thrive. “It takes all of us—public officials, business partners, and neighbors—working together to turn hope into action,” she reminded the audience.
Several organizations were recognized for their outstanding partnership and support—each playing a unique role in strengthening ESP’s mission. Oak View Group and the Columbus Clingstones were recognized for their ongoing partnership in raising vital funds through volunteer-driven concessions at Synovus Park. The third recognition was for the Columbus Consolidated Government Department of Community Reinvestment for its partnership in ESP’s SAFE and SHINE programs, which provide safe, stable housing and prepare families to be successful residents within their communities.
ESP was also proud to receive the Pathways to Excellence Silver Tier Award from the National Community Action Partnership and presented by the Georgia Community Action Association, recognizing the agency’s commitment to continuous improvement and high performance guided by the Community Action Standards of Excellence.
This year’s luncheon was made possible through the generosity of 12 community sponsors, including Inspiration Sponsors: ACOM, AFLAC, EMS Care Ambulance, and Smartquest Technology. Their support, along with the contributions of many others, helped ensure the event’s success and lasting impact.
The program closed with a heartfelt call to action, encouraging guests to stay engaged through volunteering, advocacy, and giving. As attendees scanned the QR codes at their tables to make contributions, the room filled with an unmistakable sense of unity and optimism—proof that when our community comes together, we truly can turn hope into reality.
ESP extends sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported this special event. If you would like to help us continue turning hope into reality, scan the QR code below to make your contribution.
